Getting Around

Bozeman TransportationTransportation makes up 26 percent of the Bozeman community’s total greenhouse gas emissions. This is up from 19 percent in 2000, mostly due to the city’s growth.

The city street network grew from 136 to 242 miles between 2000 and 2009 and vehicle miles traveled (VMT) rose from 111.6 million to 233 million. Most of us aren’t going to give up the convenience of motor-powered travel all-together, but it’s valuable to recognize that how we get around is a personal choice, with more than one option.
